This is a story of a man who likes many others would have lost himself in the crowd had he not found his calling in the fitness industry. Shaik Muneer Ahmed did his MBA and worked in the field of marketing for five years. Eventually, through a chain of some events, he found his true calling in the fitness industry!
We all take the routine path when it comes to choosing our career paths and enter common streams; many feel frustrated after a point but keep on walking on the same path due to various circumstances. Muneer was not one among them. His destiny was calling him to become one among many. Along with his regular job he started getting training and acquiring certifications related to the field. Within a span of one and half years, he acquired 30 certifications. Eventually, he left his regular job and joined this industry full time.
This might sound simple but in reality, it is a big decision and a huge risk to take to change careers midway. He was at a comfortable position in a reputed firm and earning a decent income. It was not easy to sacrifice that stability and take a decision to get into fitness industry full time with just the 30% income of what he was earning.
Muneer changed the entire conventional fitness regime and introduced the innovative and revolutionary fitness routine called “Fit Five”. This is a unique concept in which involves five pillars called strength, endurance, balance, compete and cardio. This is a holistic approach to fitness and requires no types of equipment to implement it. So this is not just about losing weight but being fit by losing fat.
He was born in Madanapalli to Shaik Nazeer (father) and Shaik Fathima (mother). This is where he was till his completion of higher studies. From an early age, he has been interested in fitness. Bruce Lee and Sylvester Stallone has been his inspiration. He acknowledges that his father was his motivation. He mentions during the interview that “my motivation is my dad who encouraged me from my childhood about being healthy and fit. He would make me do a 1000 push-ups, 500 sit-ups, thalim(a desi exercise) and various exercises. I even learnt karate”.
Achievements:
- In the year of 2016 October, he won 2 gold medals in a state level championship held in Chennai.
- In the year of 2017 January, he won 4 gold medals in which 2 were national and 2 were international and in the same year in the month of October he had won 2 gold medals.
- In 2018 January he won 4 gold medals in which 2 were national and 2 were international.
